The term originally encompasses the fundamentals and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley applies to this down-to-earth, solid everyday knife. Its features and straightforward design show its practicality and give the knife an ideal basis for everyday cutting tasks. The satin-finished drop-point blade made from the edge-retention and highly corrosion-resistant Nitro-V opens smoothly via the removable thumb stud thanks to the ball bearings, while the slide-lock of the crossbar lock guarantees intuitive, safe, and practical unlocking of the knife. The full-size EDC is extremely comfortable and well-balanced in the hand thanks to its high-strength aluminum handle with the characteristic recessed squares. Blue anodized rings on the blade pivot screw and the large handle screw, plus the thumb stud, in the same color give the Kihon Alu that extra flair.
